A. Acceptance of Terms

Our website www.getyourgeekon.info pages including our blog gygo.getyourgeekon.info are owned by Get Your Geek On - GYGO. Get Your Geek On - GYGO presently has two co-owners J. S. and C. G. known on the internet as Flamus Diu, and weebit. It is accessed by you under the Terms of Use (hereafter known as “TOS”) described in this document.

Get your geek on is known on the Internet as "GYGO" for a short version and will be presented to you (“the reader”) as such in this TOS.

Please review the TOS carefully before using GYGO, or its services. We may revise these terms from time to time, and the most current version will be at http://www.getyourgeekon.info/tos.

We will post an announcement to all members of changes done to this TOS by means of email. It is very important for you to keep your email address current, and always valid. Those found not valid will be purged from the database of GYGO.

You are responsible for reviewing and becoming familiar with any modifications. Use of the Services after such notification constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions of the TOS in its entirety

B. Content limitations

GYGO may change, suspend or discontinue the post of any content (including, but not limited to text, user comments, messages, data, information, graphics, tutorial articles, Photographs, images, illustrations, audio clips, and video clips) if it contains anything that GYGO deems inappropriate, non-related to tutorials or DIY content, considered spam, rule breaking. First you get a warning, second thirty day suspension, third purged from our database. This means that your user name and ALL post that have been posted by this user name will be purged from the database on GYGO the third time you are warned about our rules.

C. Your Registration Obligations

Your user name may NOT contain your real name, website YOU own name, or be a name of another person with the intent to impersonate that person. Your nickname must not contain any fact similarity to any website or person famous creating tutorial based websites. Nicknames only permitted.

Your nickname must NOT be vulgar, offensive, racist, or obscene. We reserve the right to refuse Registration of, or cancel a GYGO User ID (profile) at our discretion; if you select a User ID for your account we reserve the right to remove or reclaim it if we believe it infringes upon another’s rights or violates any part of this document..

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your GYGO password.

You will not post personal information (known as PII) on our website (GYGO) of any kind. This includes personal information that belongs to you or of another person. Members will be treated equally without decimation of race, language, color, gender, or sexual orientation.

You understand that our website is rated G, for all audiences to read. Certain colorful Metaphors may still be found on our pages. Totally vulgar comments may, or will be removed. Racist, vulgar, flaming, or trolling comments may be removed if the website "GYGO" member’s majority asks that the comment be removed.

If you are under 14 years old, do not attempt to register or use our Services for anything other than reading.

D. User Conduct

You will not spam us.

Members post will be posted in ENGLISH only. All post not in English will be removed.

You promise not to use the Services for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms of Use, or any other purpose not reasonably intended by GYGO.

You will NOT post or transmit any communication or solicitation designed or intended to obtain password, account, or private information from any GYGO user.

You will NOT submit articles or comments linking to multi-level marketing schemes.

You will NOT use any robot, spider, scraper or other automated means to access our Site for any purpose without our express written permission.

You will use proper, grammatically correct capitalization and may not include excessive capitalization or use all capitals in your Post, or profile.

You will NOT sell or otherwise transfer your profile.

You understand that one or two colorful metaphors are fine, as long as it is done in good taste.

Typing in all caps is not permitted. This is called shouting on the Internet. Please don’t shout at members, or guest.

You will NOT create separate user accounts for the purpose of artificially altering GYGO’s services; giving or receiving money or other remuneration in exchange for votes; or participating in any other organized effort that in any way artificially alters the results of GYGO’s services.

You will NOT use the Service on behalf of any third party, or pay or be paid, or otherwise attempt to influence, manipulate or otherwise affect the site in any manner by paying, or being paid any other user to “vote up” any content.

By creating and posting content to GYGO, you warrant that you presented the content in your own words, you did not copy paste content from another website.

You understand that GYGO does keep track of URLs posted to our website. This tracking is an enhanced feature that belongs to the awards program. The tracking feature will be more enhanced as the website grows. It is in place to award authors, and websites of each category that makes it to the top. The more active you are on GYGO the better chance of you being in the award list. The better chance also for the websites you post to make it to the top.

E. Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law. This is in compliance with the Privacy Act of 1974, Section 552a, and this course of action will only be taken when permission is properly lawfully acquired for United States citizens only, or to enforce our site policies or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. This is only done when you make purchases from our advertisers.

If you do business (purchase) with our advertisers you are bound by their rules, TOS, and not by GYGO's when you are purchasing from them. This Service is considered a third party, and may provide links to other World Wide Web sites or resources. Because GYGO has no control over such sites and resources, you acknowledge and agree that GYGO is not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources, and does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products or other materials on or available from such sites or resources.

You further acknowledge and agree that GYGO shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource. GYGO does not offer support for purchases. You will indemnify GYGO, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, customers, vendors, officers and employees from any liability, damage or cost (including reasonable attorneys. fees and cost) from (i) any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of your access to the Site, use of the Services, violation of the Terms of Use by you, or the infringement by you, or any third party using your account or GYGO User ID, of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity.

GYGO and its third party service providers does not offer or make any warranties with respect to any of the merchandise, products, and/or services featured, mentioned, or sold by others on or through the Site getyourgeekon.info. Transactions for any such item shall be between the user and the third party seller, without any involvement of GYGO or its third party service providers. You agree that GYGO is not responsible, and shall have no liability to you, with respect to merchandise, products, and/or services featured, mentioned, or sold by others on or through the Site, including illegal, offensive or illicit items, or items that violate this Agreement.

You acknowledge that GYGO can never have 100% control over, and no 100% duty to take any action regarding: which users gain access to the Site or use the Services; what effects the content may have on you, friends, or your family unit; how you may interpret or use the content; or what actions you may take as a result of having been exposed to the content. You release GYGO from all liability for you having acquired or not acquired content through the Site or the Services. Are you outside of the United States?

GYGO may have users not based (living) in the USA. If you are such a person, you are bound by GYGO's rules, and whatever rules your Country has established. GYGO will not get involved in an outside of USA's Country's rules and regulations for their citizens that are members of GYGO. The owners of GYGO do not answer emails of any type concerning any type of regulations put in place by other Countries outside of the United States. If another Country does not like GYGO's rules do not ask us to block your country. It is "entirely left up to your country to enforce its rules on its own citizens, not GYGO". Your Country acknowledges that GYGO has no control over, and no duty to take any type of action against its members for any country outside of the USA. GYGO is run from inside the United States, and is bound only by United States of America laws.
